Terms

Last updated: September 16, 2026
This is a translation of the original Spanish text, provided so you can read it in your language. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
1. What this is
These terms are the agreement between you and Gamba for using the app. By creating an account you accept them. If you disagree with any of them, the way out is not to use the app or to delete your account.
2. Who can use Gamba
You must be over 18. When you create your profile we ask for your date of birth, and sign-up can't be completed by a minor. An account belongs to one person: you are responsible for what is done from it and for keeping your access safe.
3. Your profile, and group profiles
You can have one individual profile and create or join group profiles. A group acts as one more identity: it likes, matches and chats on its own, and any of its members can use it.
·
Members are added by hand: with name, age and photo, without those people needing an account. That is what lets a single person set up a group.
·
And that is why there is a strict rule: you may only add people who are part of the group and who have given you their consent to appear, with that photo. Adding someone without permission is grounds for taking down the group's profile.
·
Anyone can ask to be removed: without an account and without signing up, from the report page.
·
Its members answer for what the group does: whoever acts behind the group is responsible for what they write with it.
4. How you must behave
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no harassment, threats, hate speech, explicit sexual content, nudity, illegal content, impersonation, spam, unagreed commercial promotion or photos of people who didn't give permission. Using the app to sell or promote drugs is not allowed either.
5. What we can do
We can review reported content, remove it, and suspend or delete an account or a group profile that breaks these rules. When reasonable we will explain it to you, but in serious cases —someone else's safety, illegal content— we may act first. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.
6. Your content
The photos and texts you upload are yours and you remain their owner. By uploading them you give us permission to store them and show them inside Gamba for the sole purpose of making the app work: so other accounts can discover you, so you appear in chat, and so your photo can be compared with your selfie if you ask for verification. That permission is not exclusive, we don't pass it on to anyone else and it ends when you delete the content or the account.
·
Only upload what you are allowed to: you must have rights over the photos you upload, and permission from the people who appear in them.
·
A photo you upload to a group stays with the group: you remain its owner, but you gave permission to show it to the group profile, which belongs to all its members. So if you leave the group or delete your account, that photo stays published as long as the group exists: it is the image the others show themselves with, and it wouldn't be reasonable for it to disappear because the person who pressed the upload button left. It is deleted when the group is deleted. If you want it removed sooner, ask any of its members, or write to us.
·
And any member of the group can manage it: adding, removing and reordering photos is part of editing the group's profile, and anyone in it can do that. No member has more rights over the content than another: the only thing reserved to whoever manages it is deleting the whole group.
7. The verification check
Verifying is optional and means one thing only: that whoever took the selfie looks enough like the profile photos. It is granted by an automatic comparison, with the limitations that implies.
·
It is not an identity check: we don't check anyone's name, age or background. Someone having the check doesn't tell you who they are.
·
It belongs to the individual profile: a group has no check of its own: the check of each member with a linked account is shown.
·
It drops on its own: if you change the photos that backed it, the check is removed until you verify again.
8. Meeting in person: this is your responsibility
Gamba connects people; it doesn't verify who they are. We don't run background checks or guarantee that someone is who they say they are. Deciding who you meet, where and when is entirely up to you, and so is the risk of those meetings.
·
Read the Safety Tips before your first date: they are in the app and short on purpose.
9. How the service works, and its limits
So there are no surprises with things that are design decisions and not bugs:
·
A pass is final: if you pass on someone, they won't show up for you again. There is no undo.
·
Likes and Super Likes have limits: likes are counted per day and Super Likes per week. The server controls them and they may change.
·
The server builds the deck: with distance, your preferences and who is available. We don't guarantee there will be profiles near you, or a minimum number of matches.
·
Parties come from external sources: we import them from third parties. Times, line-ups, prices and even whether an event exists may be wrong or change. Always confirm with the organizer before going. We don't organize, we don't sell tickets and we are not part of those events.
·
Gamba is free to use, and in development: there may be interruptions, and we may change or discontinue features. There are optional paid features, and they are the ones in the next section.
10. In-app purchases
Using Gamba is free. There are optional paid features, and buying them is not needed to create your profile, like, match, chat or sign up for parties.
·
What is sold: Gamba Premium, a subscription with unlimited likes, more Super Likes per week, the ability to explore other cities and to hide your age and distance. And packs of Super Likes, which are a one-time purchase.
·
The store does the charging: the App Store or Google Play, in your country's currency. Before confirming you see the exact price and duration. We don't receive or store your card details.
·
The subscription renews automatically: at the end of each period, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends. Canceling doesn't cut off your access right away: you keep it until the end of the period you already paid for.
·
It is canceled from the store: in your phone's subscription settings, which is the only place it can be done. We can't cancel it for you, but we can help you get there.
·
Purchased Super Likes don't expire: they are kept until you use them and remain yours even if your Premium ends. They have no cash value, can't be transferred to another account and can't be exchanged for money.
·
Included ones are used first: if you have Premium, the Super Likes in your weekly allowance —which are lost if you don't use them— are used first, and only then the ones you bought.
·
Premium belongs to your individual profile: a group profile can't buy it or inherit its members'.
·
Refunds are handled by the store: under the policies of Apple or Google, who charged you. If something went wrong, write to us anyway at info@joingamba.com and we will help you with the claim.
·
You can withdraw within 10 days: if you are in Argentina, the law gives you 10 calendar days from the purchase to withdraw without giving any reason. The withdrawal button is right below, and it also opens without an account from the website.
·
If prices or what is included change: we will let you know beforehand, and no change applies to a period you already paid for. The number of likes and Super Likes is controlled by the server and may be adjusted.
·
Premium doesn't buy matches: it gives you more tools, not more people or guaranteed results. Nothing that is sold promises that someone will like you.
11. Leaving
You can delete your account whenever you want from Settings, or request it from the public page if you lost access. We can close an account for breaking these terms. If you have Gamba Premium, cancel it before deleting your account: the subscription is charged by the store and is not canceled automatically when you delete your account here.
12. Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, for what another user does or says, for what happens at a meeting arranged through Gamba, or for event information that comes from third parties. None of this limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13. Privacy
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If the change is important we will let you know inside the app and update the date at the top. Continuing to use Gamba after that means you accept them.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, and any dispute is subject to the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules that apply to you for living elsewhere.
