Scope
These guidelines govern the use of Gamba and are part of the Terms and Conditions. They apply to your profile, your photos, your messages and your conduct at in-person meetings that start in the app. By using Gamba you agree to follow them.
1. Identity and minimum age
Each person may have a single account, with real and current photos of themselves. Profiles impersonating others, fictional characters, animals or accounts created as a joke are not allowed. Use is reserved for people over 18: any account whose holder turns out to be a minor will be removed.
2. Respect between users
Harassment, threats, insults and any form of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, religion, disability or physical appearance are prohibited. Another person's refusal must be respected: if they stop replying or end the conversation, insisting is harassment.
3. Photos and profile content
Photos must be of the account holder. Nudity and explicit sexual content are not allowed on the profile, which is public, nor are images of minors, including your own childhood photos. Phone numbers, addresses and social media accounts don't belong on the profile either: that information is shared privately and at each person's discretion.
4. Group profiles
A group profile is managed by the accounts linked to it, and its members are added by hand: they may appear with name, age and photo without having an account of their own. That convenience imposes the central condition of this section: only people who are actually part of the group and who have given their consent may be added. Adding third parties without their knowledge or publishing photos of people who don't take part is not allowed. All members must be over 18. Conduct carried out from the profile is the responsibility of the group as a whole, and any sanction applies to the entire profile.
4.b If you appear in a group without having agreed to it
Anyone listed as a member of a group without having authorized it can ask to be removed without needing an account, from the report page or by writing to info@joingamba.com. We remove their data and photos, and we take down the group's profile when the conduct is repeated.
5. Illegal substances
Using Gamba to sell, offer, request or promote illegal substances is prohibited, both on the profile and in conversations. The ban includes codes, abbreviations or emojis meant for that purpose: the intent is assessed, not the literal wording of the message. Breaking it leads to the permanent removal of the account, without prior warning.
6. Money and commercial activity
Gamba is not a commerce platform. Asking other users for money or sending them money is not allowed, whatever the justification or the time since first contact: asking for money is the most common form of scam in apps like this. Selling or reselling tickets, or using the app to promote products, services, giveaways or social media accounts, is not allowed either.
7. Spam and automation
Sending identical messages in bulk, spreading links to external sites, creating multiple accounts and using programs that automate likes, messages or other actions within the app are not allowed.
8. Conduct outside the app
Violent, aggressive or fraudulent conduct during meetings that started on Gamba may lead to the removal of the account, even if it did not happen inside the app.
9. How to report
Every profile in the deck and every conversation has the option to block and report. Blocking immediately stops both of you from seeing each other and creates a report for our review. For urgent or especially serious situations, write to us at info@joingamba.com. If there is imminent danger, call your local emergency number.
10. Enforcement
We review every report we receive. Depending on the seriousness of the incident and the account's history, measures may be a warning, a restriction of certain features or permanent removal. The most serious violations —content involving minors, violence, illegal substances or scams— are sanctioned with immediate removal. If you think the measure was a mistake, you can ask for a review by writing to info@joingamba.com.
11. Child sexual abuse and exploitation
Gamba absolutely prohibits the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors in any form: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), requesting or exchanging it, the sexualization of minors and contact with minors for sexual purposes. There are no exceptions or mitigating circumstances. When we become aware of content of this kind we remove it, permanently remove the account without prior notice, and report it to the competent authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). To report it you can use the report option inside the app, the public form at https://joingamba.com/legal/reportar —which doesn't require an account— or write to info@joingamba.com.
