Delete my account

Last updated: August 24, 2026
This is a translation of the original Spanish text, provided so you can read it in your language. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
If you can get into the app
It is the fastest way and doesn't depend on us doing anything: open Gamba, go to Settings and tap “Delete my account”. We ask you to confirm once and it is deleted right away. There is no waiting period or “suspended” account: once you confirm, it is done.
If you just want to stop appearing
You don't need to delete anything. In Settings you can pause your profile: you stop appearing in Discover and receiving new likes, and you keep your matches, chats and photos for when you come back. It is reversible; deleting the account is not.
If you have Gamba Premium, cancel it first
The subscription is charged by Apple or Google, not by us, and it is not canceled automatically when you delete your account: they are two different systems and the store's would keep charging you. Cancel it first, which takes one tap, and then delete the account.
If you can't get in
Write to us and we will delete it ourselves. Send the email from the address you signed up with: it is the only way we can check that the account is yours and not someone else's. Also tell us the name you appear under, so we can find it.
Or write to us at info@joingamba.com from wherever you prefer.
What is deleted
Everything that is yours, irreversibly and with no backup we could restore:
·
Your account: your email and the way you sign in.
·
Your profiles: the individual one and the groups you own, with the members added to them.
·
Your photos: those on your individual profile and those of the groups deleted along with you, which are removed from storage and not just from the database.
·
Your activity: likes, passes, Super Likes, matches, the chats of those matches and which parties you said you were going to.
·
Your settings: location, city, time zone, language, notification preferences and your devices' tokens.
·
Your verification: the verdict and the photos that backed it. The selfie no longer existed: it is compared and discarded on the spot, never stored.
What may remain, and why
We are specific on purpose, instead of promising that “nothing remains”:
·
Chats are deleted on both sides: a conversation is a single shared thing. When you delete your account, it also disappears from the other person's screen.
·
Groups that still exist, and their photos: a group someone else managed is not deleted, and neither is one of yours if another member with an account remains: it passes to them, so they don't lose the profile they were using. You stop being part of it and acting as it. A group's photos belong to the group, even if you uploaded them: they stay as long as the group exists —any of its members can remove them— and are all deleted when the group is deleted. The member entry that group had added by hand stays with the group; if you want it removed, ask from /legal/reportar.
·
Messages written as someone else's group: they stay in that group's conversation, but no longer tied to you: the record of which member wrote them is deleted.
·
Artists you suggested for the catalog: if the name was approved, that artist is now part of the app's catalog and is not your data. Who requested it is deleted.
·
Technical records without your name: usage and cost counters that keep us within the limits of the services we use. The reference to your profile is removed and they remain as plain numbers.
How long it takes
Deletion from the app is immediate. An email request is processed by hand; we allow ourselves up to 30 days, though in practice it is much less. We reply once it is done.
Before deleting, if you want to take your data
In Settings there is “Download my data”: it builds a file with your profile, your messages and your activity. Once the account is deleted we can no longer generate it.
